It was my pleasure to host our inaugural Journeyman Event recently which had a bit of a nautical theme. The day started with Ruth, Suzi, Martin and Steve visiting my chosen charity Tower Lifeboat Station on the Thames, where we were given an excellent tour by Andrew Stewart from the RNLI, ably assisted by Philip Scallan, Liveryman and RNLI volunteer both in the UK and in Eire.

The tour brought home to us all the great work that Tower and the RNLI continue to do and we saw first-hand, the tangible support our Livery has given Tower this year in terms of a washing machine, bedding and towels in addition to our other financial donations.  May we always be in a position to support them, but never need them.

It was then a walk along the Thames on a lovely sunny day for lunch at the Little Ships Club, before casting off homeward bound.
