The Christmas Carol service and Supper is always a truly wonderful occasion and this year was no exception. Livery friends from the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners joined us for our Christmas Carol Service officiated by our Chaplain The Very Reverend Andrew Nunn and together with the Choir in glorious form singing Rutter and other Christmas favourites, the spirit of Christmas touched us all.
Following the Service, we all made our way to the Hall where we were greeted in the River Room with mulled wine. This was followed by dinner in the Banqueting Hall with beautiful bedecked tables greeted the diners, a Christmas supper was served and enjoyed by us all at the end of which a presentation to our caterers’ Hall representative, Bernard, for his superlative service and acknowledgement on his retirement.
Minnie and Mark sold raffle tickets and we all enjoyed the lucky people who won prizes and we raised £650 +
Afterwards we bid each other a happy Christmas and departed , well done Margaret a lot to live up to next year.
