Your Master and his current wife caught the train to Bournemouth on Friday 5 to of June, for the lady Mayors weekend staying at The Highcliffe hotel overlooking the sea .
Friday evening saw us make a short 2 mile walk along the sea front, to the chosen restaurant Rockwater, after our buffet supper we returned to our hotel for the evening for chat in the bar over a scoop or three .
Mrs S is not a morning person so the after breakfast 08.45 am start for the trip to a tank museum at Bovington. Was not high on her list of must do items , nevertheless the thought of her old man running up and down in a chieftain tank was certainly getting her exited particularly when the Lady Mayor pointed the 120mm gun and fired it at the assembled Masters . Only a firework.
Off to lunch for a barbecue in a barn at a cider farm , lots of different ciders to test which may account for the wobbly writing.
On the bus to Swanage and a visit to the Beautiful Town hall with a connection to the Mercer’s , followed by a steam train ride where we were joined by the Master environmental Cleaner and his wife .Back to the hotel for a quick change and our final dinner which was semi formal , the next day our Masters meeting where we chose our past master’s association name the Insquared. Off back to Manchester .
