Hotel Accommodation has been provisionally reserved at The Graduate Hotel minutes away from the main attractions.
A quality hotel on the banks of the River Cam and in the heart of city, with gardens, a large central bar and lots of comfy chairs and sofas on which to sit to chill out. From the moment you walk through the main reception doors, you’ll be immersed in the local culture and charm that’s unique to Cambridge. From the DNA double helix light above the front desk, an homage to Cambridge alumni Rosalind Franklin, to the lovingly restored, 100-year-old punting boats that adorn the lobby walls. A leisure club offers an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room and gym.

We hope many of you will join us for an informal supper at a local restaurant. Details to follow. (Please let the Simon know before the end of February so, we have an idea of numbers.)
Saturday morning 11am:
A 90-minute walking tour of Cambridge with a Blue Badge guide. Whilst delivering an in-depth and interesting description of its history, the tour will cover some of the city’s best-known features such as the Market Square, the Corpus Clock, Kings Parade along with some of the many colleges.
Meet in the Hotel lobby at 11am.
Cost: £16p.p.
The rest of the day is free to explore.
Saturday Eventing:
Black Tie Dinner at The Old Hall, Queen’s College at 7pm
Drinks reception, three course meal, coffee and chocolates.
Dating from 1448 the Old Hall retains many historic features. With its fireplace, decorated wood panelling on the walls, stained glass windows, tiled floor, Minstrels’ gallery and subtle lighting, a rather special room.
Approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel.

University Colleges: Cambridge has some stunning colleges, and most are open to the public
Fitzwilliam Museum: dedicated to art and antiquities, with items originating from all the most important ancient cultures such as Greece, Rome and Egypt but also also works from some of the most illustrious artists.
St. Mary’s Church: an absolutely beautiful piece of architecture with an imposing tower. Yes, you can climb the tower, a feat that will reward you with an incredible view of the city.
Open top bus tour: enjoy unlimited hop on hop off for 24 hours with your ticket. Discover key sights, including the famous colleges and the unmissable American Cemetery in nearby Madingley. Starting point is Queens’ College Porter’s Lodge (approx. 7 mins walk from our hotel). Highly recommended.
The Eagle Pub: Built in 1667. Regulars have included James Watson, Francis Crick and Rosalind Franklin who discovered DNA and celebrated that phenomenon here and hundreds of WW2 RAF pilots who left behind a wall of messages in the hope they were never forgotten.
