Deputy Master Major Jack Strachan finally held his many times postponed Annual Banquet in the grandeur of Mansion House on Friday, 8th October and what a grand event it was !
We were honoured as Principal Guest, The Right Worshipful Lord Mayor Locum Tenens, Alderman Sir David Wootton, together with the Aldermanic Sheriffs, Alison Gowman and Nicholas Lyons and guest speaker the Rt Hon. Sir Tony Baldry DL.
The Pikemen and Musketeers contributed pomp and colour, the HAC Brass Quintet provided superb musical background, the duelling Post Horns performed a thrilling the Post Horn Gallop and the two Chanters from Southwark Cathedral Girls’ Choir sang exquisitely from the Gallery to a very appreciative audience.
A fabulous evening enjoyed by all present.
