LAUNDRY and CLEANING INDUSTRY SPORTS CLUB GOLF DAY, 27th July 2023

This year’s annual industry Golf Day was held at the Swinley Forest Golf Club, near Ascot, in Berkshire on Thursday, 27th July 2023 which a number of Liverymen from the Worshipful Company attended together with other golfers connected to the industry. Having had wonderful weather for quite a few years, this year was rather overcast and showery, but this did not take anything away from another excellent day’s golfing on a magnificent golf course.

This year’s winner of the Golf Challenge Cup was Luke Cunningham of 1^st Biotech, who won with a total stableford score of 42 points, playing off a handicap of 18. In 2nd place was Maz Iqbal of Lynx/Alex Reid with 38 points, playing off a handicap of 14, and third was Liveryman, Dave Aveyard of Christyens, with a score of 36 points, playing off a handicap of 12.

Liveryman Richard Yates won the Laundry & Cleaning Industry Sports Club Scratch Challenge Trophy, with the best scratch score of 74, playing off a handicap of 2.
