Avanti train into London on tim, must be a first. Master collected coffee and croisant then made way to the Hall to pick up our Launderers’ placard and Senior Warden, Graham and Minnie. We set off for London Wall to join the thousands of walkers and floats for the parade of our new Lady Mayor, Dame Susan Langley. As we waited, chatting to other members of Modern Livery Companies, the whistle which signalled our start to walk and wave to the huge crowds waiting to see our new Lady Mayor.
Then we all lunched at the Cheshire Cheese which was very welcome as was a pint of spitfire, before our return to London Wall. The weather was kind to us and although tired, a great day was had by us all.
