Master, John Shonfeld, was invited by Sheriff David Chalk and Dan Heath, Master of the Hackney Carriage Drivers, to attend the famous St Mary le Bow church to join the Lord Mayor Alistair King and Lady Mayoress Florence King, for the ringing of Bow Bells where the Lord Mayor was shown how bell handling is accomplished

This was preceded by a quarter peal of 1325 changes of Steadman Cinques on the 12 bells , by the local ringers, the heaviest bell, Tenor, weighing in at just over two tons .Steadman Cinques is a method of ringing on 11 bells with a twelfth ringing last each time. The bells move in a pre-determined pattern from first place to last place. After which, thirsts were slaked in the ringers local pub.
