The company of Architects have the task of ensuring the gates to the City are serviceable so each year at a ceremony at Temple bar the gates are oiled , originally designed by Sir Christopher Wren they are the last gates in use for entering the city of London ,at Temple Bar just by St Paul’s Cathedral .
After the ceremony accompanied by the HAC we the took some refreshment at Temple Bar on a hot day this was very welcome .
